Lab Assistant - Full Time

Postition Summary:

Assistant will draw blood, collect specimens, and run EKGs on patients, process those specimens including accessioning in the LIS. They will also organize, check off and deliver laboratory reports, file reports, and requisitions, restock and clean as needed all areas of the laboratory, answer the phone and front window, and perform other duties as needed. By performing those functions in the laboratory; they will help to maintain a smooth workflow for the laboratory technologists. Job responsibilities and performance or procedures are to comply with Section 652.450 of the Nevada Administrative Code, Bureau of Licensure and Certification, Nevada State Division of Health. Employee must be licensed or eligable for licensure as a Laboratory Assistant, State of Nevada.



Postition Requirement:

Minimum Education:

- High school graduate or quivalent 

- Licensed or eligable for licensure as a Lab Assistant with Nevada Division of Public Health



Minimum Work Experience:

- Previous medical terminology and computer/data entry experience highly preferred

- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with attetion to detail required.

- Previous experience working in a hospital or customer service setting highly preferred
